# Privacy Policy

Written to describe what this website actually does, not what a template says it might do.

This policy explains what personal information Strilla Communications Company collects through this website, why it is collected, how long it is kept, who it is shared with, and how to exercise your privacy rights. No non-essential cookie is set before you give consent.

## Who this policy covers

This policy applies to strillacommunications.com and to information you provide through it. It does not cover information exchanged outside the website, such as email, phone calls or contract documents, which are governed by our normal business practices and any agreement between us.

This policy is reviewed periodically and the current version is the one published on this page. It should be read alongside the Terms of Use, which govern use of the website itself.

## What information we collect

We collect information in three ways: information you deliberately provide, files you choose to upload, and limited technical information that is generated automatically when any browser requests a page.

- Contact details you submit: name, company, email address and phone number
- Project details you submit: project type, location, timeline, footage and scope description
- Files you upload: plans, drawings or specifications attached to a bid request
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and referring page
- Attribution data: the referring website and any campaign parameters in the URL
- Analytics data: cookieless, aggregate measurement by default, and full Google Analytics measurement only if you allow analytics

## Why we collect it and on what basis

Contact and project information is collected to respond to your inquiry and to prepare a bid. The basis is your request, and in some jurisdictions our legitimate interest in operating a construction business and responding to prospective clients.

Technical data is collected because it is inherent to serving a web page and is used for security, abuse prevention and reliability. Before you make a choice, Google Analytics receives only cookieless signals that do not identify you or your device. Full analytics, which uses cookies, runs only where you have consented, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising.

## Cookies and consent

This website groups cookies and similar technologies into four categories. Strictly necessary technologies are required for the site to function and are always active. Functional, analytics and marketing technologies are inactive until you allow them. The table further down this page summarizes each category.

No non-essential cookie is set before you make a choice. The consent banner appears about 1.5 seconds after the page loads and stays until you choose Reject All or Accept All, or set your preferences under Manage Choices.

We use Google Consent Mode with all signals defaulting to denied. While analytics is denied, Google Analytics sets no cookies and receives only cookieless pings used for aggregate, modeled reporting. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a binding opt out of sale and sharing, record it, and do not display the banner.

## How do I change or withdraw consent?

Select Privacy Choices at the bottom of any page. That reopens your cookie preferences so you can allow or withdraw each category, or reject everything, at any time. Clearing this website's stored data in your browser also removes your saved choice, and the banner appears again so you can choose again. When the version of this policy changes, the banner is shown again so you can review your choice against the new version. Your earlier choice stays applied until you change it.

Your choice, the categories selected, the time it was made and the policy version in force are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. If your browser blocks local storage, a single first party cookie records only that a choice was made, so you are not asked again on every page.

## Embedded maps and other third party content

The map on the contact page and in the footer is a placeholder until you choose to load it. The third party map, and any cookies its provider sets, load only after you select it. The full address is shown as text beside it, so you never need to load the map to find us.

Links to other websites take you to services we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site.

## Who processes information on our behalf

We use third party service providers to operate this website. We describe them by function rather than by brand because providers change and an out of date brand list is worse than an accurate description of role.

- A hosting and content delivery provider, which serves pages, processes request logs and provides cookieless, aggregate visit and performance measurement
- A file storage provider, which holds files uploaded with a bid request at an unlisted public address
- An email delivery provider, which transmits form submissions and confirmations
- An analytics provider, which receives cookieless pings before consent and full measurement only where analytics consent has been given

## How long information is kept

Bid requests and the correspondence arising from them are retained for as long as needed to respond, and afterward for the period required for ordinary business and legal record keeping.

Uploaded project files are retained while the opportunity is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Technical request logs are retained for a short period for security and reliability purposes. Analytics data is retained according to the retention setting configured with the analytics provider.

If your organization needs specific retention periods confirmed, for example to complete a vendor or procurement questionnaire, ask and we will confirm them in writing.

## Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, request deletion, obtain a copy in a portable format, object to certain processing, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

California residents have the right to know what is collected, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and the Do Not Sell or Share control is provided in the consent preferences regardless.

To exercise any right, email hello@strillacommunications.com or call (386) 396-2033. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

## Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Uploaded files are stored at a public but unlisted address that includes a random component. Anyone who has the link can open the file, so this is not private, access controlled storage. The address is not published anywhere, is impractical to guess, and is sent only to the people handling your request. Form submissions are validated on the server and rate limited to reduce abuse.

No system is perfectly secure. We do not ask for and you should not send sensitive personal information such as government identifiers or financial account details through this website. If a drawing set is confidential, tell us and we can agree another way to receive it.

## Children

This website is a business to business construction site and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

## Changes to this policy

This policy is updated when the way the website handles information changes. The current version is the one published on this page, and your saved consent choice records the version that was in force when you made it. When the version changes, the consent banner is shown again so you can review your choice.

## Key takeaways

- No non-essential cookie is set on this website before the visitor makes a choice.
- Google Analytics runs under Consent Mode with every signal defaulting to denied, so it receives only cookieless pings until analytics is allowed.
- A Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a binding opt out of sale and sharing, and the banner is not shown.
- Strilla Communications Company does not sell personal information or share it for cross context behavioral advertising.

## Key terms

**Consent Mode**: A Google framework that tells Google tags whether a visitor has allowed analytics or advertising storage. With signals set to denied, the tags set no cookies and send only cookieless pings, which support aggregate, modeled reporting without identifying the visitor or the device.

**Global Privacy Control**: A browser setting that sends a standard signal asking websites not to sell or share the visitor's personal information. Several US states treat it as a valid opt out. This website records the signal automatically and keeps non-essential technologies switched off.

**Strictly necessary technologies**: Storage and code the website needs to work, such as the record of your consent choice. They cannot be switched off through the banner, because without them the site would not function correctly or would ask for consent again on every page you open.

*Cookie and storage categories on this website*

| Category | Before you choose | What it is used for | Currently in use |

| Functional | Off | Remembering preferences across visits | Only if allowed |
| Analytics | Cookieless pings only | Google Analytics measurement of how pages are used | Only if allowed |
| Marketing | Off | Advertising measurement | No |

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Do you set cookies before I accept them?**: No. Only strictly necessary technologies operate before you choose, and those are required for the site to function at all. Analytics, functional and marketing technologies remain inactive until you allow them. Google Analytics runs under Consent Mode, so before you choose it receives only cookieless pings and sets no cookies. The banner appears about 1.5 seconds after the page loads.

**Do you sell my personal information?**: No. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. A Do Not Sell or Share control is provided in the consent preferences regardless, and if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we honor it automatically without you needing to act.

**What happens to plans I upload with a bid request?**: They are stored with a file storage provider at an unlisted public address that includes a random component, so anyone who has the link can open the file. The link is sent only to the people preparing a response to your inquiry. Files are retained while the opportunity is active and for a reasonable period afterward. To ask for an uploaded file to be deleted sooner, email hello@strillacommunications.com.

**How do I request deletion of my information?**: Email hello@strillacommunications.com or call (386) 396-2033 and tell us what you would like removed. We may need to verify your identity first, particularly for a deletion request, so that we are not acting on someone else's instruction about your information. We will confirm what was removed and anything we must keep for legal record keeping.

**What does Global Privacy Control do on this site?**: If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the site records it as an opt out of sale and sharing and keeps functional, analytics and marketing technologies off. The consent banner is not shown, because your browser has already answered the question. You do not need to click anything for the signal to take effect.

**How do I change my cookie choice later?**: Select Privacy Choices at the bottom of any page to reopen your cookie preferences and change or withdraw your choice at any time. You can also clear this website's stored data in your browser, which removes the saved choice and shows the banner again on your next page view. If you need help, email us and we will explain the steps.
